Welcome to Midway art classes! My name is Lauren Cressman and I am sooo excited to be working with each of you and your children. Here on this blog I will be posting lessons, completed artwork, and any assignments I may give your children to complete throughout the week.

Here is my personal portfolio that you are more than welcome to view. I have taught kindergarten for three years along with sundance kids camp. I am graduating from BYU in art education in april. I love teaching and making art. I especially love seeing others find a passion for art. My main goal with this class is to help your children become passionate and comfortable with the art making process. We will be exploring many different art mediums throughout the course. This class should be a lot of fun and I can not wait to meet the rest of you. This week we started to get to know each other with some drawing games. Next week i am hoping to teach some watercolor techniques and start with some fun prompts dealing with weather or habitats since many of your children love animals! In weeks to come your children will understand different watercolor techniques and be able to use them to create unique paintings.
